These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding legal agreement between you (“User” or “You”) and Resistance Labs (“Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your download, access, and use of the ATLAS Workspace desktop software, documentation, community catalog, and online services at resistancelabs.tech.
By downloading, installing, or using ATLAS Workspace, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.
1. License Grant & Permitted Use
Subject to your adherence to these Terms, Resistance Labs grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and execute ATLAS Workspace on desktop computing hardware you own or control.
The core desktop application is provided for personal, academic, and commercial study use under the license granted herein. Advanced cloud-synthesized features and high-throughput model endpoints require an active ATLAS Pro subscription or self-provided API keys.
2. User Content & Intellectual Property Sovereignty
You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all notes, research cards, canvas graphs, mindmaps, audio annotations, and synthesis artifacts created within ATLAS Workspace. Resistance Labs claims zero ownership or intellectual property rights over your local vaults or content.
Resistance Labs retains all right, title, and interest in and to ATLAS Workspace software code, user interface designs, logos, product trademarks, and documentation.
3. Acceptable Use & AI Safety Policy
ATLAS Workspace is built to expand human learning, curiosity, and research synthesis. When using ATLAS Workspace and its integrated Claude AI features, you explicitly agree not to:
- Use the software or AI capabilities for military, weapons development, or kinetic harm operations.
- Conduct offensive cyber operations, malware distribution, or automated penetration exploits.
- Deploy the software for unauthorized facial recognition, biometric surveillance, or non-consensual tracking of individuals.
- Engage in harassment, defamation, fraud, or intentional copyright infringement.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass subscription licensing mechanisms for commercial resale.
- Use integrated AI models to perform automated legal, medical, or life-critical decision-making without expert human validation.
Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy result in immediate termination of cloud feature access and ATLAS Pro subscriptions without refund.
4. Subscriptions, Fees, & Billing (ATLAS Pro)
ATLAS Pro is billed on a recurring monthly basis ($12/month) or discounted annual terms.
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your ATLAS Pro subscription at any time via your account settings. You retain access to Pro features until the conclusion of your prepaid billing period.
- Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for initial subscription sign-ups. If you are unsatisfied, contact abdallah@resistancelabs.tech within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Taxes: Fees are exclusive of applicable local value-added taxes (VAT) or sales taxes, which will be calculated and collected where required by law.
5. Third-Party Integrations & APIs
ATLAS Workspace interoperates with external services, including the Anthropic Claude API for language synthesis, YouTube for educational lecture integration, and GitHub for software distribution. Resistance Labs is not responsible for the availability, service continuity, or policies of third-party platforms.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
ATLAS WORKSPACE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. RESISTANCE LABS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RESISTANCE LABS, ITS FOUNDERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO RESISTANCE LABS IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles. The parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Amman, Jordan.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. When material modifications occur, we will update the “Effective Date” atop this page and provide notice within release update notes. Continued use of ATLAS Workspace following posted updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
